Reykjavík Energy advertises applications for grants from the Reykjavik Energy Research and Innovation Fund, called VOR.
The role of the Fund (VOR) is to support scientific research related to Reykjavik Energy’s field of work, with an emphasis on Reykjavík Energy’s policy and the company’s goal to enable a sustainable future.
Strategic objectives:
Applications for funding from VOR are advertised in two categories. Study grants for thesis projects (applied engineering students, master's and doctoral students) and project grants for individuals and companies. The maximum amount for study grants is 1.000.000 ISK for applied engineering and master's students and 3.000.000 ISK for doctoral students. The maximum amount for project grants is 5.000.000 ISK. Applicants must submit a description of their research project, explain the timeline and costs, and justify how the project relates to Reykjavik Energy's field of work and the strategic objectives that Reykjavík Energy currently emphasizes.
The board of the fund determines allocations from VOR based on the input from a council of experts appointed by the board.
